"My time in Grecia, Costa Rica with Diego, Alejandro, Fofo, and everyone else was the best time of my life. The rich culture of Grecia, Costa Rica mixed with the intimate classes and overly generous hospitality, truly makes this the best program around. This program is "ripe for the picking" for us Social Workers in that it allows us to immerse ourselves in another culture and experience it first-hand, but also to observe from the perspective of an empowered practitioner/county. I hope everyone chooses wisely and makes this small investment for a lifetime of perspective, knowledge, and memories.

My 2 week immersion experience with ACCE in Costa Rica was definitely a wonderful trip that I will never forget! I attended the 2 week program for Social Workers in the summer of 2005, and there are several aspects that made this program stand out as exceptional. The first thing I remember is how hospitable and humble ACCE staff as well as my host family were. The staff were so attentive to our needs and often went above and beyond the normal call of duty to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time. From the moment they picked me up from the airport, to the moment when they dropped me off, I felt as though I was really being taken care of. I also really enjoyed meeting and befriending all of the other Social Work participants. On top of all the great company the extra curricular opportunities that the program offered were outstanding, The weekend trip to beautiful San Miguel beach, the dance lessons and club outing, the tree canopy tour, and rafting, among other things were SO much fun! The 2 week program was an all around great cultural experience! Aside from that, the actual classroom language instruction was wonderful. The class was very small and interactive and the instructor made learning Spanish really fun! I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to meet great people and experience the Culture of Costa Rica while at the same time learning a language that is becoming a necessity in our profession!
